Springfield Police Arrest Man Following Narcotics Investigation

The Springfield Police Department’s Pro-Active Crime Unit arrested 34-year-old Tavious Spencer of Springfield on November 5, 2025, following an ongoing narcotics investigation.
Detectives obtained a search warrant for Spencer’s residence, which was executed with assistance from the department’s Street Crimes Unit. During the search, officers recovered approximately 55 grams of suspected ecstasy, 64 grams of suspected cocaine, 1,126 grams of suspected cannabis, a revolver, and a shotgun.

Spencer was taken into custody and booked into the Sangamon County Jail. He faces charges including manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of firearms without a FOID card, unlawful possession of a weapon by a gang member, and resisting a peace officer.
