St. John’s College of Nursing has received continuing accreditation for its Bachelor of Science in Nursing program from the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, extending recognition of the program’s compliance with national educational standards through 2033.
The accreditation reaffirms that the college’s BSN program continues to meet standards established by ACEN in areas including curriculum, faculty qualifications, student outcomes, institutional resources and ongoing quality improvement.
Dr. Traci Krause, Chancellor of St. John’s College of Nursing, said the continued accreditation reflects the work of faculty, staff, students and clinical partners in maintaining a high standard of nursing education.
“This achievement reflects the dedication of our faculty, staff, students and clinical partners to excellence in nursing education,” Krause said. “Reaffirmation of ACEN accreditation through 2033 recognizes the strength of our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and our unwavering commitment to student success, academic excellence, and preparing future nurses to lead and serve with compassion. We are honored to continue educating the next generation of nurses who will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients, families and communities.”
ACEN is a nonprofit accrediting organization focused on advancing quality in nursing education programs worldwide. The organization is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
St. John’s College of Nursing’s BSN program prepares students for professional nursing practice through classroom instruction and clinical training. Students participate in clinical experiences across acute care settings, specialty units and community environments while also receiving hands-on instruction through simulation-based learning. The college also emphasizes faculty support and smaller class sizes as part of its educational approach.
