UIS Online Degree Program Recognized By Forbes

The University of Illinois Springfield (UIS) recently received prestigious recognition from Forbes, naming its business administration bachelor's degree (BBA) program as one of the top online programs for 2023. The university's BBA program stood out due to its affordability, high student retention rate, and favorable student-to-faculty ratio, according to Forbes.

Dean of the UIS College of Business and Management, Som Bhattacharya, expressed his belief that a combination of distinct focuses, online learning, and internship opportunities is the key to providing the best undergraduate business education. Bhattacharya stated, "We have married these facets to deliver the best in online undergraduate business education that meets students where they are. We are grateful for this recognition of excellence from the likes of Forbes."

UIS offers three online BBA programs, each offering a unique approach to business education. The comprehensive program provides students with a broad-based understanding of various aspects of the business world, including finance, management, marketing, and operations management.

For those interested in human resource management, UIS offers a specialized option designed to develop critical conceptual and interpersonal skills required for management positions. Students gain valuable insights into talent management, including job analysis, design, workforce planning, and staffing.

The management concentration program aims to equip students with the essential skills necessary for employment in management positions across diverse organizations. It emphasizes the development of critical thinking, conceptual understanding, and strong interpersonal abilities.

A distinguishing feature of all three BBA programs is the requirement for students to complete an internship, which provides hands-on experience in a real-world business environment. Notably, UIS offers equal tuition rates for both in-state and out-of-state online learners, ensuring accessibility and fairness.
