Organizers of the 2026 Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, a PGA TOUR-sanctioned golf tournament hosted at Panther Creek Country Club, have officially opened volunteer registration for this year’s event, which is slated for June 22 through June 28 in Springfield.

Tournament officials are seeking to recruit more than 500 volunteers to serve on over 20 different committees, filling essential roles that help ensure the smooth operation of the week-long competition. As the presenting sponsor of the volunteer program, COUNTRY Financial® will once again support this dedicated team, providing resources and recognition for the many individuals who contribute their time and energy to the event.

Officials say volunteer opportunities are open to a wide range of participants, whether individuals are golf enthusiasts, first-time volunteers, or returning helpers. Volunteers will be involved in a broad array of activities throughout the week, gaining behind-the-ropes access and contributing to an event that draws visitors and athletes from across the region.

In speaking about the partnership, JR Earley, District Leader of COUNTRY Financial, emphasized the company’s commitment to community engagement and support for professional golf in Central Illinois, noting that the volunteer program plays a pivotal role in the success of the Championship.

Participants who register early will be eligible for several incentives tied to early sign-ups beginning in March, while all volunteers can look forward to benefits including official apparel, meal access at the COUNTRY Financial Volunteer Headquarters, week-long tournament credentials, and opportunities such as playing the host course during the volunteer golf outing. A limited number of junior volunteer roles are also available, offering students a chance to earn service hours.

Tournament Director Kate Peters highlighted the invaluable contribution of volunteers, describing their efforts as essential to generating meaningful economic and charitable impact throughout the region.
