Crime Stoppers Golf Outing Set for July 24

Crime Stoppers is seeking golfers and corporate sponsors for its annual “Take a Swing Out of Crime” golf outing on July 24 at Piper Glen Golf Club.

Lunch will begin at 11 a.m., followed by golf at noon. Prizes and a dinner catered by Nelson’s Catering will be held after the outing.

Teams can register at cashfortips.us or by calling 217-788-8427. Organizers said spots are filling quickly.

Money raised through the outing will remain in Sangamon and Menard counties to support Crime Stoppers’ anonymous tip and cash reward programs.

Anyone with information about a crime can anonymously call Crime Stoppers at 217-788-8427, submit a tip through cashfortips.us or use the P3 Tips app. Tips that lead to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,500.
