Senator Cotton Endorses Reising for Congress

Last week, Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas endorsed Jesse Reising’s candidacy in his bid for Illinois’ competitive thirteenth congressional district. This support is a strong testament to Reising’s experience and vision for representing the people of Central and Southern Illinois.

“I’m proud to endorse Jesse Reising for Congress in Illinois’ 13th District. He’s a dedicated public servant and federal criminal prosecutor who has fought to lock up criminals and protect our communities,” said Senator Cotton. “If we are going to stop Biden’s reckless agenda, we need strong conservatives like Jesse in Congress. I look forward to working with Jesse to back our law enforcement, rebuild our military, and get our economy back on track.”

Before serving in the House and Senate, Cotton served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army and completed two combat tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan. He earned the Bronze Star Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, and Ranger Tab.

“I am honored to have earned the endorsement of a strong conservative leader like Senator Cotton,” said Jesse Reising, candidate for Illinois' thirteenth congressional district. “As a sixth-generation son of Central Illinois, I know firsthand how the political insiders in Illinois and Washington have failed us. The Biden-Budzinski approach does not work, and we need new leadership.”

This major endorsement comes after Reising announced being endorsed by dozens of Sangamon County elected officials and activists and shortly before President Donald Trump’s Secretary of Housing and Development, Dr. Ben Carson, will make an appearance in Springfield to campaign with Reising.

It appears that Reising is running a strong campaign and garnering widespread support in the Republican Primary race for Illinois’ 13th congressional district that is set to take place on June 28th.
