Sherman Police Investigate Apparent Suicide

On Saturday, January 13th, at 5:32 PM, Sherman Police received a report of "Shots Fired" at Casey’s General Store, located at 270 Crossing Drive in Sherman.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a 36-year-old male deceased, having suffered an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The victim's identity is being withheld until family members are notified. This death remains under investigation by the Sherman Police Department and the Sangamon County Coroner’s Office.
